You have arrived in Uplandia
An archive of garments, objects, and references collected across time.

Arkiv Uplandia is a Swedish clothing brand creating limited garments from reclaimed fabrics, deadstock textiles, and surplus materials. We produce our clothing in Sweden wherever possible, with the remainder made in Europe. Much of what we make is sewn by us.
We are interested in clothing that belongs to a place and a moment in time. Rather than beginning with a collection, we begin with the materials themselves. Every fabric carries its own history, shaping what can be made and how many pieces will exist.
The website follows the same approach. Published as a changing newspaper, it brings together garments with photographs, illustrations, and archival material that inform our work. It is less a catalogue than an ongoing record of what we are making and what we are looking at.
Arkiv Uplandia is an independent project by Aaron Swaffer and Juni Stålhandske.
